Seriously folks.. do you expect 1080p for $700 *most* of the time?
On core i7 with discrete video card, yes. If you are going to cut costs, display should be the last thing you cut costs on. That is what consumer is going to experience everything else you put in a laptop through. Few people will notice the difference between core i5 and core i7, but everyone will instantly notice the difference between a 720p and 1080p screen on a 15 inch laptop.
720p = garbage, regardless of what the other specs are.
To think that some 5inch cell phones have a 1920X1080 resolution and many 15.6inch laptops are still using 1360x768 resolution is just...wrong. I'd take a i5 or something and have a better resolution to balance the price.
