I have been watching this one for a little while and finally pulled the trigger. This is the best deal that I have seen. Lowest price on Amazon (free shipping) has been $319. I pay tax on Amazon, so tax is not a factor for me.

Check out the hottest new car on the block. Kids will love this Corvette Toddler Bed racing bed with working headlights. The convertible toddler bed can easily convert to accommodate either a toddler mattress or a twin mattress. The twin toddler bed with lights features tap-on headlights, silver rims, realistic decals and more. This durable convertible toddler bed is designed to last through multiple children. This Corvette Toddler Bed is easy to clean and meets all U.S. and Canadian safety standards. Recommended for children 2-10 years old and up to 300 lbs.

I got one of these for my son. We love it for some reason I thought it would be bigger it fits a twin size mattress. If you are still using a toddler mattress then you have to put some blankets on the sides otherwise your kid falls into a gap. So we just went ahead and bought a twin size even tho he wasn't really ready for it. Highly recommend but only if u are ready for a twin size.

I looked at it more closely on the Step2 [step2.com] website and the toddler bed aspect of it is not very good. Essentially, the crib mattress fits in the same opening left for the twin mattress and there is hard plastic all around. I wouldn't use this as a toddler bed and would go straight for the twin mattress as many other recommend. Makes an impressive child bed but not something we need right now for our toddler.

If you are considering using it as a toddler bed, its a good idea to take a much closer look at how this is done before buying.
