I use the FX40/FX101 on a daily basis. I throw them in the bag, etc. The build quality is fine. The S4's reliability is questionable. Just do a google search and see how many issues there are with the S4. I guess that's why they offer 2 year warranties. The one's I've listed along with other IEM's are cheaper, good build quality, and MOST IMPORTANTLY sound better. How does that mean that they aren't a better buy? The S4 for $30 is not bad. Anything higher, is not worth it. Like I already said before, there are other cheaper, better SQ options out there. |

The S4 does have excellent fit. But that's it. Like most cheap headphones, the mids/highs can be EQ'd and filtered using stereophonic-to-binaural DSP's to match the signature of expensive "hi-fi" headphones. People who claim high marginal utility of headphones with higher prices are wine-tasting frauds [head-fi.org]. |

placed the order for $30 yesterday but I canceled it today. Good thing they did not have one in stock to ship it. I probably would have regretted buying one. I am just gonna stick to imonster that I had bought for $30 couple months ago.
I know klipsche makes nice stuff but this does not seems to be the case. I would have bought one if it were $15 but not its not worth $30. Ebay also has reference S4 on Todays sale but at $41.75 shipped http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-R...0518422331 whats the difference between the reference and the image model neways? I think the SL99 is down to $30 clearance price if you can still get it on Staples. The SL99 bass has that midtohigh-bass hump so it might sound bloated to those used to lowtomid-bass boosts. The latter might sound "boomy" to some. Still, the SL99 can drive bass loud, and the kick is there you can feel it. But it's just not for me. |

So I got these late last week and must say...while they sound good (mostly), they are incredibly difficult to find a good fit in the ear and they tend to fall out or become too list. Any secret on how to wear these? I'm also a little disappointed in the overall low-end/bass on these headphones.
EDIT: There is also a chance I've been wearing these the wrong way, based on my previous assumptions of headphones shaped in this manner. Sounding much better, but still could take some points from those who've used these a while. Last edited by danmtz; 02-27-2013 at 08:30 AM.. |

I got these and like the, a lot. Sound quality is awesome. They don't fall out of my ears when I'm running like my old pair. The only problem I had so far is that just two days after wearing them, one of the ear bud pads fell off and I lost it. Fortunately the headphones come with backup pads.
