They are good. How good up is up for debate. I personally find them a little underwhelming and was expecting more for how much hype they get. That said, I don't deny that they are good. I would say my disappointment comes more from personal preference. They are not tuned to my taste. They just have too much midbass. I am sure they are tuned this way to cover up for their lack of subbass--which is to be expected from a speaker this size. A little EQ to tone the bass down though and sound better to me.

I like the DIY solution, that little amp is pretty sweet and leaves you open for audio experimentation. I think I'll pick one up!
