I bet you can get Amazon.com to price match this TV like they did on the 55". If you point that out to Amazon you may have them lower the price of the TV to make up for the taxes that they charge. Please post if you are successful in doing so.

I agree this price is about normal what it has been on sale for the past month. I am still waiting for it to drop below $2K.

I had best buy price match it and got the 24 months no interest. It looks amazing!
I highly recommend doing a search for D-Nice panel prep and settings also. |

Real question here... if you aren't looking for 3D or smart tv function, then would this tv really be worth almost quadruple the price of something like the LG 60PA6500? I can imagine it might have better blacks, or is slightly better at fast action, but all plasmas inherently have this advantage over LCDs.
I plan on keeping buying and keeping my plasma (planning on 60PA6500) until OLED come down in price, which I am guessing will take 5+ years. |
