SSD Installation Help

If you are talking about a clean install from restore discs from the factory, then it should be every bit as good as a clean install, except that there would be some bloatware that you might want to remove or stop in services, but you would get all the drivers, doing it that way, along with some of the Lenovo utilities that you might like to have.
If the restore discs are home made, from a time after operating the computer for an extended period of time, then the installation would not be as clean.

In your scenario, where you plan on having the original HD in the DVD bay, you could do a clean install then go get all the drivers from the original disc (just ask, if you don't know how to do that) and then go to the Lenovo site to get any utilities that you might want to have, like a security cam, power management, etc.

Oh ok, just was wondering, I did the clean install with restore disks from factory/ones I made myself which included all the bloatware and such. So I am good to go then.

Do you know how to run an optical in the drive bay? Like how to set my SSD for booting and a few select programs, but when I download stuff or store things it is all on my optical bay HD automatically without mr having to transfer back and forth.

There's a real professional way to do it, and it'll work like a charm.
