BTW, I cancelled my order on linnen and requested a refund. The reason being once I purchased the voucher and went to the site, they were oos on the sets I liked, either colours or sizes. Made me upset since they should tell me the choices available up-front. Not after I buy the deal. Again, that was the last time I dealt with LivingSocial. My experience.

I got the Linum towels a few weeks ago with the $30 off deal, so only $7 shipped. That said, would I pay anymore for them? No. Are they worth the "$108 value" claimed on the Living Social site? Absolutely not.

They're a little rough (softened a bit after I washed them), not very thick and some had a slightly chemical smell to them. When I washed them there was more shedding (read wet cotton clumps in the washer) than I expected. But after washing they didn't seem that bad. Still you would probably come out better taking the $29.60 you would spend on these towels after the 20% off and putting it towards investing in a set of REAL luxury towels, esp. if they are for yourself.

Good deal for people that use Living Social, personally I will never use them again. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have used them three times and it has been painful to get the deals to actually work. I will stick with Groupon.

FYI "Takeout and Delivery" is not listed as a limitation in the originally posted terms and conditions, but is still a no go.

All these group deal sites have to be taken wih a grain of salt. A lot of times the merchants are overloaded with business, and since their net profit is low on each voucher, they dont have quite as much inclination to provide good service. I've actually even been turned away from businesses when trying to use a voucher. They figure their net loss is so low, and they have so many people coming in, that it doesnt matter if they piss a few customers off.

Which is the root of why they are using the Groupon or Living Social deal to begin with.

I would venture to guess that over 50% of the businesses that utilize these sites are typically gone in 2-5 years.

Yeah it's no lie that a lot of the businesses doing these groupons are doing them because they arent doing well business-wise or customer-service-wise to begin with.Or they're new, and being new often means they dont know what they're doing.

I had a lot of bad groupon and LS experiences last year They seem like great deals but they come with a cost.
