I just purchased 2 1-Way Airport Transportation vouchers for $45 each - $20% = $72.

I called and tax and tip are $26 each way extra, so total is $124 for round trip transportation.

Here in NY, that works out to be about the same as parking at the airport for a week.

I got hosed once on a Melting Pot groupon. They added a pretermined tip based on the "actual value" of the meal... which was way more than what it really was. I had eaten there before and no one actually pays that much for that much food there. That wasnt a good deal at all. And they hardly brought any food out. I was hungry when I got home. Was so displeased I decided not to go there again.

No. Sites like this make a mess on purpose so you have to scroll through everything. I hate that they mix actual local deals in with the online crap they want you to buy. I can't even find deals for local restaurants without being offered steak delivery from omaha steaks or whatever.

I called the vendor directly and they provided me the exact amount of tax+tip that would be charged. Should be no surprises. Acceptable to me that tip is on pre-livingsocial price.

That's one thing I haven't been able to figure out with Groupon and LivingSocial. I never know when I execute the voucher if they are going to ask me to hand over more money at that time or that's full payment. Strange how that works.

Not sure I agree with you on your point though. Generally, it's accepted that you tip on the full, retail price of the meal at a restaurant.

Saw the cat scratcher lounge and got excited. Then scrolled down and saw it was $69. $55 after code...no thank you...

The best I could find was $15 for $30 worth of Ethiopian food but I'm nervous to use one of these in a restaurant. I don't want to get screwed.

Nothing worthwhile on LS for me. I'd rather have 20% off Amazon Local or Groupon.

Exactly, I have been denied a couple of times and Living Social WILL NOT refund your money. Groupon seems to be better about honoring deals and refunds.

Just buyer beware, this is not a well run company and they truly don't care about you, after they have your money.
