When getting Accessories for the phone MAKE SURE it is for the T-MOBILE VERSION. Because there is TWO version of this phone the T-Mobile and the International version. The T-mobile version have a slightly smaller screen and is sized physically smaller so if you got the International version accessories (case,screen protector) it will not fit properly.
USA version is P769. If you search for accessories with that you will find what you need.
Q: If I already am on a post-paid T-Mobile plan (i.e., Classic or Value), can I buy this phone and use it on my post-paid service?
A: Yes. You can do this over the phone and they can assist transferring your old SIM card to the included microSIM card. Once that is done, you can pop the microSIM into your phone and start using it. You can also go into any T-Mobile retail store, and they will do the transfer for you for free.
You can also login to your tmo account online and do a change of SIM. Just keep your new SIM number (printed on the SIM) handy.
Galaxy SII also now comes with a $50 pre-paid card.

Son of a B! Just bought this from BB...waited forever for the $50 to show back up on the T-Mobile site...Oh well a great phone and now a better deal than I got.

Have been debating on the Nexus but never ordered. How good is this phone? I'm doing the $50 Tmobile no contract. Use very little data. Just hoping for decent coverage as many say their prepaid towers suck compared to post paid plans. Not sure I buy that. Thoughts on this phone?

Sounds like battery life is pretty good. The resolution isn't great, but that's not too big a deal. Seems like a great phone. It's definitely a great price. I was holding out for a good deal on an off-contract Note or Note 2, but I might consider this. |

The biggest flaw of this phone is that the P76910g software version cannot be rooted yet. The IPS screen isn't as nice as some of the higher-end IPS screens, like the nova IPS of the Nexus 4.
Also the app switcher is long press on home button. Not sure how easy it is to change that. Lies, damned lies, and contrast ratios.

At this price, it's a nice phone. You won't find something quad band 3G/4G and brand new for the same price. I had one of these for a month. Worked fine, battery life is above average. I ended up getting a Note II but otherwise I would have kept it.
Yes the Nexus 4 and S II/III is nicer but they're not nearly this cheap. |
