OK thanks for the info! I obviously wasn't aware. I do obviously get tired of people asking why you paid so much for an unlocked Iphone etc when they think they are just $50 (when in truth they are paying out the a$$ with their expensive plan contract for the next 2 years). Its absolutely painful to have to slowly explain the difference to stupid people.

OK thanks, I may consider this phone then. I got my dad the Samsung Exhibit for Christmas and was blown away to see I could connect via 4G with my Tmobile plan that has basic data (edge) which I currently use on my Iphone. This was before I started to see connections to 3G towers with my Iphone which has started to occur the past couple months.

OK, I didn't buy this phone, but just got curious and did some googling and it looks like tax is supposed to be charged on full price if a service contract comes with it. Something about bundled vs unbundled prices.

So, unless I'm misunderstanding, people should not be charged full tax in this situation because it is not a bundle.

this happens in the state(located in east coast) where I am living.
I remember to pay the tax of the full price phone ~$45 where the full price phone was ~$500( based on their price).
it was free phone (good), but had to pay a full price in tax (Not good. this was a 2 years contract.

Overall Amaze has a better/compatible processor, better camera, faster speed, 12 GB available for storage, I just can't risk buying a phone that only has 2 GB of storage and hoping for a fix later, and I don't want to bother with selling the refill card either. Just my 2 cents

I agree. Although the L9 is a nice phone, I still think the HTC Amaze is a nicer phone overall. It may be heavier / less compact but it is packed filled with features which I like.

I just received the confirmation email.
For me the phone was charged as 209.99 and sales tax on that 13.12
for a total of 223.11.

I dont know why the phone is charged as 209.99 instead of 199.99.
The customer service rep. I spoke with had no idea why it was charged that way.

You guys have more experience with this than I do, but are Ptel and Gosmart essentially the same coverage map as T-Mobile? Do they do the free roaming that T-Mobile does (or at least used to do?) Does T-Mobile still do the free roaming anymore?

So what frequency the L9 have? This is on ATT network with wifi disable.
