T-Mobile LG Optimus L9 Android 4.0 Prepaid Smartphone w/ 4.5" Screen + $50 Prepaid Card $200 + Free Shipping

Mrs. Swede wanted a basic Android smartphone. This fit the bill perfectly for the price. The built-in T-Mobile wifi calling app is rock solid, which was the only essential feature she needed (and something the Nexus 4 does not have) because she uses the phone for work.

The only real downside is that there is no ambient light sensor, so it's difficult to use it in bright sunlight unless you set the brightness to 100%.

She doesn't need to root or install a custom ROM on this, nor have a need for Jelly Bean, so it's a non-issue for me. I did get rid of the native launcher app and replaced it with Apex Launcher.

It also appears this phone is already unlocked. I tried to use the instructions provided by T-Mobile, but it got rejected. Yet, when I installed a Simple Mobile SIM card, it detected the SM network immediately without an "invalid SIM" error message.

Simple mobile uses the tmobile network. This does not mean that the phone is unlock. You would expect to be able to use Simple mobile with this phone. I'm pretty sure this phone is locked to the tmobile network. Bet you cannot put an att sim or one of its mnvo into this phone unless you unlocked it. How easy is it to unlock it?

is this phone worth $200 dollars?

Anyone know there return policy for prepaid phones...On the site its say they MAY charge a restocking fee? Anyone have any experience with that?

Got one, but the 50 card didn't show up in the checkout. Tried several other phones with same promo, all other packages have the refill card showing up during checkout. Only this LG package won't show the refill card. Weird. Anyway, hope it will come with the card.

i chat and call. t-mobile said if you don't get it in the package, u can call them to get the code. but i want to use this phone with my regular plan, and sell the 50$ card. how can i sell the code without the card on eBay?

they will include a prepaid return label, anyone know if this label is free or fee?

I asked a rep about that and she said "Please do not worry about that."

I am assuming you'll get the card w/the phone. If not, contact them and they'll give you one..

same issue last time ..they provide the code via phone. but somewhere some dealer used the code
