I know it happens, but I've yet to understand why people spend more for stuff on ebay than they could buy online or instore for cheaper. Any idea why?Confused
I think if they are able to somehow get some rewards i.e. Ebay cashback or maybe credit card rewards or something? Or maybe people are just super lazy lol

I can't checkout either. They told me on the phone that they are blocking my card because they need me to come in and verify "Who I am" in the system. Sounds like they don't want to honor the deal or they have internal problems and don't want to admit it.

I have this L9 phone as well as Samsung S3 and nexus 4.... I have to say it is every bit as good, except the followings - I actually think it is good enough for the most part.

1) the battery run down 10-15% faster than S3, but same as N4
2) the overall speed of things are 10-15% slower compare to S3 or N4 (just a bit choppy)
3) the SD card only go up to 32GB, S3 and N4 go up to 64GB
4) HSPA is 21mbps, while S3 and N4 is like 45mbps (but I never get anything above 10mbps for real)
5) no auto brightness control - this is one of the main draw back I feel... I used to have this on iphone and S3/N4.....

For the money, it is a great phone!! I can live with #1-4, but in a bit of pain with #5.....I use it on post paid plan and I unlocked it for international travel. Sold my S3 and N4 and wait for S4 etc (if I have the money to buy it).
Nexus 4 does not support sd card at alll...

$29.6 sale tax kills the deal for me, and seems like it will take a while to put JellyBean on

Mrs. Swede wanted a basic Android smartphone. This fit the bill perfectly for the price. The built-in T-Mobile wifi calling app is rock solid, which was the only essential feature she needed (and something the Nexus 4 does not have) because she uses the phone for work.

The only real downside is that there is no ambient light sensor, so it's difficult to use it in bright sunlight unless you set the brightness to 100%.

She doesn't need to root or install a custom ROM on this, nor have a need for Jelly Bean, so it's a non-issue for me. I did get rid of the native launcher app and replaced it with Apex Launcher.

It also appears this phone is already unlocked. I tried to use the instructions provided by T-Mobile, but it got rejected. Yet, when I installed a Simple Mobile SIM card, it detected the SM network immediately without an "invalid SIM" error message.
This phone is not unlocked - dont confuse people.

Yes... this is a fantastic dual-core no-contract phone for $200 minus a $50 service credit.
Got one a few weeks ago.. same deal.

After registering, and with a little insistence T-Mobile will provide an unlock code for you.
Then get a simm from pTel [platinumtel.com].
You might need to cut the simm down to nano size to fit.

Much info on the web says this T-Mobile phone works with pTel without unlocking.
I don't know.

Only bad thing is any micro SD card you put in the LG Optimus L9 is barely accessible.

We are all waiting for a software fix.

I bought one of these online a couple days ago before the $50 promo came back. Had to call to get it honored without returning and rebuying the phone. The rep gave me a 14-digit code.

Can someone tell me what the procedure is for having one of these refill codes applied to your account? I was able to find some info, but didn't know if there was a different procedure with T-Mobile's own cards, vs a Fastcard like you'd find in a retail setting.

I just plan on selling it anyway, and I'm counting on the buyer being as stupid about prepaid as I am.
The 14 digit codes will load just fine. I'm not sure why some cards are 10 digit and some 14, but they both work. Here's one phone # to redeem a card 1(877)778-2106. You can also do it online thru t-mo.

I got this phone for my wife a few months ago
SD deal $199 +$50card also.

Good:
- fast phone slightly faster than my Evo 3D (upgraded to ICS)
- light phone and good size screen.
- pretty decent battery life. some reviews said it have crappy battery life but the one we got is good.
- screen is pretty good for it's price

Bad:
- camera quality is aweful. IMHO
- it comes with bunch of useless bloatware but you can disable it via apps setting.
- 3D speed is not up to level of galaxy s2. it perform on par with the Evo3D.

first thing I did was disable the bloatware apps and so far the phone runs fast and smooth. no complaints from my wife. 3D is not fast but she doesn't do 3D games/stuff on it.

When getting Accessories for the phone MAKE SURE it is for the T-MOBILE VERSION. Because there is TWO version of this phone the T-Mobile and the International version.

the T-mobile version have a slightly smaller screen and is sized physically smaller so if you got the International version accesories (case, screen protector) it will not fit properly

UPDATE: added info to WiKi

Dear: balut

Your order number is: ***************
Order date: 02/19/2013
You can review your order at
http://www.t-mobile.com/orderstatus
Order status: Being Processed
Order total: $217.39
Card Type: VISA
Card Number: ************0

after 6 tries online i was able to get through the whole process.
had problems with check out,
they had to verify with questions like: old address i was associated with and age group of my grandmother, it was weird, never had that much trouble with online purchases before.

also asked if i can get the phone unlocked since its paid in full, i was told after 45 days of service your eligible to get the phone unlocked just give tmobile a call.

i was also told that the prepaid card might be in the box with the sim card.
i did a print screen of the whole promo page with the 50$ card promo banner, to show proof if card is not delivered.

i also asked if there is a restocking if i return the phone, there is no restocking fee if returned withing 20 days.

hope this helps out with some questions

Can anyone recommend a good qwerty android phone for use with T-Mobile? It doesn't have to be T-Mobile branded, I don't mind edge speeds.
HTC G2 or HTC MyTouch Slide 4g

According to customer support, you can just call in after a successful order and get a code but they can't get it to include the $50 card either.

The other catch is they are having major issues with payment processing right now. I got the run around earlier that they need me to go to a store to verify who I am and I tried again just now and it says that their payment processor could not be reach or may be down. I assume that was the problem all along, but I can't get a person to actually acknowledge the issue.

I'm currently on contract with tmobile, so I can just pop my Sim in and be up and running, correct?
