Best buy poll for 02/20 FREE 25 rewards points

This is really weird. I'm RZ Silver and I had 4,088 points in my account. I have it set to bank my points instead of auto-issuing rewards.

However, I just got an email saying that I was issued an $80 rewards certificate. I go and check my account, and sure enough, it says I have an $80 rewards certificate and it shows that 4,000 points were deducted (in the running total of purchases/reward zone polls, etc). However, my actual points total at the top of the page still shows as 4,088 and the system will still allow me to issue ANOTHER $80 certificate.

WTF?

Are you sure it will allow you to cash them out? I know there have been times in the past where I've redeemed the points for a GC and the points weren't immediately removed from my total but got an error message when I tried to make another redemption. The points were gone the next time I logged in and I was once again able to redeem them without any issue.

You're right. I just logged out and logged back in, and it's showing 88 points left. Regardless, they still shouldn't have auto-issued $80 in rewards if I had it set to banking.
