If you received mail, then the message box would appear.

'Checking Messages

No credit received in my account but I already had about $40 from Christmas gift cards. I wonder if this will impact my chances of receiving a credit...?

Thanks for the heads up. Not a PS+ subscriber but did get one. Checked my nephew and nieces inbox's but there was nothing there for 'em. Wonder if its just for peeps that have spent money in Playstation Store? I also am now wondering if u fwd that mssg to another account before redeeming if they can cash it in to use. I've been wanting my nephew to purchase some DLC so we could have more maps on some games we do online. It a tough lesson I've been having him learn about how to wisely spend his money on games he loves vs used games that are "eh" from gamestop.

i never spend anything on psn but I should get one just for having bought a vita on day one. that's loyal enough

I spend very little, and I have PS+.

Got one. I guess it's either totally random but if not here's some stats about me that may have contributed if it wasn't random, maybe others who got it will have some things in common. I have had PS+ for about 1 year, just redeemed another year to get the extra 3 months, have spent about $50 on various PSN stuff over the last year, was a member during the long outage, have participated in various betas and I have a Vita. I've been a PSN user for about 4-5 years, maybe the length of time you've been a member has something to do with it.
