$35 monthly unlimited talk, text, web NO CONTRACT

I believe the "web" on this plan is 2G, according to news posts I saw this morning on Engadget, etc.

actually I'm right, fine print at the bottom:

$35 plan includes web at 2G speeds. $45 plan starts at 3G and upon 5GB of use in a cycle is reduced to 2Gspeeds for remainder of cycle.

Not sure if "3G" includes HSPA+ (DC-HSPA) or LTE when T-Mobile eventually releases it.

2g is pretty much unusable, might as well just get unlimited talk/text with at&t for 25$
or Unlimited Data/Text @4g for the first 5gb with tmobile for 30$ and use a voip calling programs :p

i'm on tmo prepaid 30$ unlimited web at 4g for 5gb then slows to 3g. with 100min voice

Love that plan :] i use it with my iphone pretty good reception almost always on 3g as well.

FYI - fine print. Might not mean anything:

Certain T-Mobile plans may be prioritized over GoSmart Mobile plans during periods of congestion.

Service may be slowed, terminated, or restricted for misuse, abnormal use, interference with our network or ability to provide quality service to other users, or significant roaming.

my freaking virgin mobile all time in 2g less then 300kb.. but i still in $25 plan and runing in 300 min

I need a plan that gives 500 mins, unlim text and 2gb 4g data for $35, I'd settle for 300 mins too though... the 100 min plan is too low and I dont need 5gb of data

Tried it but voip works only when they have 3G connection. Outside Boston they have just 2G speeds

ST also offers a $45 BYOD plan which has much better coverage than SimpleMobile. But SimpleMobile seems to be owned by T and its coverage is worse than T prepaid coverage. I dont know how you will use this when travelling to anything other than east or west coast

Virgin Mobile is still the best deal around. $35 for 300 minutes and unlimited text and 4G. I've had it for years with zero complaints and my 4G speeds are great. I do a lot of traveling for work and very rarely do I find myself where I have no signal and, when I do, it's only momentarily. I actually end up using my phone as a hotspot on travel as it's more reliable than hotel internet and most places I stay get the 4G signal. I've converted most of my friends over to VM and the only complaint anyone ever has is customer service.

Been there/done that with VM..absolutely no 3G! Way too many areas that are not covered with Sprint and there is no roaming. I suggest giving Platinumtel (P-Tel) a try. I love gsm as it's a simple SIM swap to change phones. P-Tel is a MVNO of T-Mobile and offers true 4G speeds with their $40. plan with unlimited talk, text, and 250MG of data. The T-Mo network here in N. Cal stomps on Sprint for speed and coverage..your area may be different, but the T-Mo prepaid coverage map will tell you. And with P-Tel you get USA based c/s reps! P-Tel has a promo going on (until mid March) where the $40. plan is $20. with the discount! They also offer great deals on PayGo: .05 cents a minute for talk, .02 cents for text, .10 cents a MB, and .02 cents for MMS (pic mail). Happy as heck with them!

Dunno, I've traveled all over the SE, NW, and Texas and never had any issue with 3G on VM and I've gotten 4G most places. Realize that it's as much getting a good phone as it is Sprint's towers. If VM has one thing it's a bunch of terrible phones. Buy one of their good ones and the service is night and day. It is all about location, though. I used to be on T-Mo and switched away from them because I couldn't even get a reliable voice signal. Their 3G was just non-existant. In my experience, Sprint's network is only second to Verizon.
