Every once in awhile they drop an oddball priced and spec'd unit.

I snagged a stripped down 2330 for $290 after tax and coupon in the wee hours this morning.

I have a 2330 touch and love it . Guess I could run this non touch one next to it in desktop mode.

This and the $217 2020 are great deals. But I don't see the big deal of WIN8 without touch. Maybe I'm missing something, but the desktop mode is not as complete as win7.

EDIT: while these are great deals for now, the prices in general have gone up and there are no GC bonuses right now. I got several 2330 touch's with larger hard drive, more ram, touch, i3 vs Pentium. . .and they were $285 after tax, coupon, and GC bonus of say $40ish for this amount. . .back in October. Don't know about the 2020's, but since end of October the entry i3 touch's have gone from (not including coupon) from $419 to $529 to $659.

I never got an update either, but when I checked my order status online it said shipped with estimated delivery of tomorrow. Don't count on emails.

I received two emails right away. Ordered acknowledged and order confirmed.

Mine also shows shipped when I check online. I did not receive a shipping email.

great... status chat people said it shows "pending verification" and I should call the order verification dept. Called them and they show no record for that purchase ID number. Looks like my order is gone

Got an email saying ship date changed from 02/27 to 03/04. Not liking this already.

Did you get an order acknowledgement or confirmation email? You should get one, then the other, within minutes of ordering. If you're credit card was denied/fraud alert etc. then you should get a 3rd email within 2-12 hours.
Also, if you did not get any of the above, did you take a screenshot of the receipt?

If you have any of the above, you should be able to persuade them to honor the 25% off a 2020, 2330, or 2710 that the coupon was good for when you ordered. You will also probably need to hunt down the $280 priced system (or any one that you are happy with) yourself and then go to chat asap.

If you actually get an order cancellation from your dropped order, you might also be able to go to Customer Care and get a refund for the difference of the new system price (same specs) w/coupon to make OOP down to the previous $217.50. This is YMMV, but I've had to do it a few times.

Well got mine this morning. Not sure if this is always the case, but 3 dell "scratch and Dents" that still have plastic film on it and it looks 100% new. The outer box looks better then pc's staples gives me. Holy crap dell you are pissing away your shareholders $ for years now.

Anyway ideal pc for my mom. Windows Experience score is 4.4 (processor 6.5, ram 5.9, graphics 4.4 and 5.5, Drive is 5.9

Webcam is shit, but I already gave everyone in family logitech hd pro webcam c910. Just disabled onboard camera and then told skype to use the usb one. NOT easy finding where skype options button was. Sh8t people will be lost in win 8.

I loaded Start8 rather than Classic Shell to boot right to desktop and give mom a more normal windows 7 menu. Not that she knows how to use XP/7 or anything...but it should help me help by phone. Strart 8 is only $5 from company I trust. Classic shell looks great too, but I think I wanted more options.

Nice machine, price makes it a no brainer. I have plenty of win 7 licenses but think windows 8 will be better in the long run. Faster on slow hardware, faster file copy.
