Rakuten is Buy.com (they bought Buy).
I haven't bought anything from Buy since the Connect3D SD card rebate problem of many years ago (large 100% rebates not honored by rebate company, Buy did not step up, Newegg and other retailers did). i think some android devices might be trying to mount that partition by accident (when doing an unexpected sd card pull/mount/remount/etc...). people have been complaining about the reliability of this card in android devices (search google), but there hasn't been a lot of people that have complained about the card after removing the hidden partition (at least, from what i've seen... ?) |

either way, the picture's outdated, because not only does this card have the italic I, it also has the U1 symbol (which denotes that if you have a UHS bus-capable device, you can achieve speeds close to UHS Speed Class 1 (U1), which is roughly around 40-45MB/s). it also has the C10 (Class 10) symbol, because it is backwards compatible with the older spec. unfortunately, the U1 symbol does not guarantee write speed (like the old Class 2/4/6/10 notations). the U1 symbol can refer to read or write (in this case, its for read, since the max write speed on the SanDisk Ultra/Mobile Ultra is around 12MB/s). |
