I found myself getting legitimately angry at Swiftkey because the word that it was giving me compared to the word I actually wanted was just mind-boggling. Not only that, but the word I wanted still wasn't even a choice to pick from of other words it may have been. I feel like I have to "Swype" so slow for it to be accurate, and that defeats the purpose of the flow feature.

I may go back and test out that JB keyboard some more since that one seems to do a better job in that department because unfortunately I'll never be able to go back to actually type words after using Swype and the like since the days of my original Droid.

Happy with stock JB keyboard, only wish there was multilingual typing w/o having to switch keyboard input. Otherwise, it doesn't lag and works well for me (I always hated T9 though, only got used to it when getting my first touchscreen phone nexus 4).

I have owned 5 different Android phones, including the Galaxy S3 and currently the Nexus 4. Trust me.

The prediction is fantastic on Swiftkey. Flow might be better than swype, but what I saw with Swiftkey Flow left a lot to be desired. If it does not register your swipe correctly, it does not give you the option to select another word. I could never get it to recognize the word "swift" without typing it letter by letter. It kept coming up as "soft" and gave no other choices. Mind you, I am swiping this whole response on my Nexus 4 and it gets every word right.

The only keyboard I have ever liked better than Swiftkey is the stock Gesture keyboard on the Nexus 4. If your phone is not from the Nexus line, you will not be able to use that, and your best bet will be Swiftkey. Just know that you will have to type letter by letter and the prediction will be great.

Just so everyone's aware, if you run the tablet version on your phone, you can enable the arrows. However, if you run the tablet version on a tablet, you *do not* get an option to enable the arrows. Normally, this option would be under Themes->Customization along with split layout. Those are both there on a phone, but missing on a tablet.

I don't have any idea how the phone version works on a tablet.

The swype feature on the recent upgrade to my nexus 7 was good, but I don't like that the keyboard doesn't have numbers on the top row.

Swype is better. Swiftkey's predictions are on par with that of a drunken monkey.

Its predictions are based on who it is learning from, so if you feel that way, there's only one conclusion to jump to...

I feel like this is common complaint - go into your settings, where it says "typing style" and you should have the option of precise or fast. If you chose "precise," it is more strict with where your Flow touches. With "fast," like I use, it does a great job assessing your heat map and giving you better predictions. Try that and see if it helps.

That's not necessarily true. If their prediction algorithm was poorly built, then the algorithm is at fault, not the user.

I spent a lot of time yesterday trying out the SwiftKey trial and then using the default keyboard on my Nexus 4. Based on my own experience, the Nexus 4 was much more accurate and predicted my typing better than SwiftKey did. I do know that SwiftKey's prediction is supposed to get better over time, which I was not able to test.

Can't seem to find "typing styles" in the settings menu. I do remember seeing it when I was setting up after installation.
