http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/t...s/anj9.pdf The $100 is a manufacturer coupon/rebate so Costco is getting $100 from the manufacturer and the rest from you ($699 plus $55.93, the tax on $799). Costco should be remitting the entire $55.93 to the state; otherwise, that's a big no no. Hope this helps assuage your concern. |

I'm seeing WILDLY conflicting reports on the framerate for this TV. Basically, 48Hz, 60Hz, 480Hz, and 600Hz. The typical framerate for a plasma TV is 600Hz, but the Manufacturer website says 48Hz... which I didn't think was even possible for a new TV.
Can anyone that has purchased this TV speak to the actual framerate? I don't want to buy something at 120Hz or less since it makes human movement look like claymation. Weak Minds Think iLike.

How does this TV compare in picture quality to Panasonic VIERA TC-L55E50 55in IPS LED which was on sale at Pauls TV recently for $799.
http://www.paulstv.com/LED-Televi...L55E50.asp Wouldn't be wise to get a Panasonic LED just for $50 more ? Experts please help.. |

I'll try to set them up and try to capture the differences I see between the two. CNET raves about the UT50, but is pretty down on the E50. |

I would have picked the 60" no-3D and Dumb TV had it been through costco though ! |

One Tip to everyone who buys the TV is, as soon as you get it home, Run the break in slides, and look at it to see if the screen has any defects. My first screen had 1 bar about 3 inches from the right running up and down. I returned it and got another 55" and it does not have the problem. My TV is actually good but returning it now for the 60" |

Interesting.. Thanks for writing in detail. Since, the deal was on ebay and you end up using paypal, I thought the credit card's additional warranty offer wouldn't apply as you do not use the card directly ! Isn't that true ? Also I'm trying to understand. Didn't you feel bothered by your first experience where the TV wasn't good and you had to return. Reason I ask is I was very much worried that if such an issue happens with the 60" TV bought from Buydig, as per the terms on the ad, I would have to bear the return shipping ! That was a real deal breaker for me.. |
