Across the board spending cuts, is a nice fallacy. Remember both sides are being played here. If you are conservative/Tea Party you are being manipulated (Even though you may not even know it)
Democrat/ Progressive you are being used (but you know it and are in power) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starve_the_beast its a strategy they are trying to starve the beast, yes you say we know about this already. The real issue is what is the goal. ? Remember Wall Street bailouts and too big to fail yes they got bailed out and got lots of $$$ How will the super rich get more money ? by starving the beast and having the government collapse. Maybe thats why So many Wall Street banks have invested and own so many US Treasuries, and Bonds. By Shorting the US Dollar in 2009 following George Soros advice and strategy, I made a nice profit after the US Debt was downgraded. And in 2013 the US Debt will be downgraded again. Look for a downgrade to AA- in 2013 by the Big Rating agencies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit..._downgrade Well here go again remember those words Too Big to Fail, the Government is too Big to fail so the cycle starts all over again. If the Government is too broke to spend and invest and grow and too broke to pay its bills. Its done. (printing money only makes the problem worse with inflation making Trillion dollar coins won't do anything) You can see this on a smaller scale with States happening already. Whats the whole purpose of this ? possibly like 9/11 which may or may not have been a diversion to set the frame work for the 2008 collapse and no one notice. (that was gonna happen no matter who was in the white house take note of how they don't care which party is in power). Just kinda happened to be blame it on the black guy. Even if 9/11 was just a enemy attack they sure took advantage of the distraction. The frame work for the distraction is being set again, in Starve the Beast and collapse the government. Remember even if you collapse the government only the middle class to poor classes get hurt 99% of us. The rich get even more money and this is the goal of all these "Fiscal Cliffs" and Across the board spending cuts its all a side show distraction. What a crock of bull. He forgot to mention the new spending he has demanded for unemployment benefits and Hurricane sandy. Beyond that its a standard pay tomorrow for spending today plan. They'll spin the same bull on January 1, 2014. |

Take today’s White House example: The Department of Transportation. The Department of Transportation’s budget for 2013 is $74.2 billion. The automatic spending cuts would slice $1 billion out of its budget: that is a cut of less than 1.4 percent. And consider this: even if the cuts go into effect, the Department of Transportation will spend more money this year ($73.2 billion) than it spent last year ($72.6 billion). Ah, the sky is going to fall because you have only slightly more money than you did the year before. They must think we are fools. Here's passenger data for the past 12 months, in thousands. Dec 2011 59,594 Jan 2012 54,929 Feb 2012 53,577 Mar 2012 65,008 Apr 2012 61,992 May 2012 64,126 Jun 2012 67,144 Jul 2012 69,802 Aug 2012 68,366 Sep 2012 57,935 Oct 2012 61,298 Nov 2012 59,210 Smart people would just double up on furloughs in January, February, April, September, October, November rather than simply doing equally by week. Oh wait this is the obama government. |

Well? Oh, that's right... The president's own party do not support his idiotic spending proposals as they have overwhelmingly REJECTED the president's budgets and the Democrats in the senate have explicitly refused to pass a budget let alone try now to propose one. As bob woodward notes tagging today - Obama lied in that third debate when he said that he didn't propose the sequester and his staff continued that lie all the while castigating the Republicans. Hence, this should no longer rest on the shoulders of Republicans. Only the Republicans and proposed and passed budgets. Both the president and the senate democrats have failed to do anything at all... They own this now. They wanted sequester, they lied about it, they wanted and manufactured this so called crisis. |
