Coworker ordered breakfast blend a few weeks ago and it also came with a plastic take-out container to store open packs. Guess they listened to the reviews and decided to spring the 0.$$ for a container.

Fog Chaser [gourmet-coffee.com] & Breakfast Blend [gourmet-coffee.com] are both categorized in their 'Regular Roast' category and are both on the 'lighter' end of the SF Bay roast spectrum.
French Roast [gourmet-coffee.com] a darker roast. From their roasting page [gourmet-coffee.com]: We have a proprietary roasting system that combines age-old artistry with modern technology to roast each coffee to perfection, each and every time. Our roast profiles call for numerous adjustments to temperature and air flow over the elapsed time of each roast. And it varies by type of bean, time of year, temperature, and weather. We don’t just push a button and hope for the best. The Roasts: Regular (Full-City): Our standard roast. Develops the beans to their fullest flavor point. Full-bodied, slightly sweet, well-rounded. Espresso Roast: Developed specifically to create the perfect espresso crema, but great for other brewing methods as well. This roast is carefully roasted past our Full City Roast until the beans are dark brown and well-oiled. Releases the full flavor of the coffee, with a hint of smokiness. French Roast: One of our most popular, the “West Coast Roast”. Roasted past the pop and sizzle, until the beans are very dark brown and very oily. Intense coffee and smoky flavors. Extra Dark: Not for the faint of heart. Roasted past French Roast until the beans are almost black. Smokiness dominates this roast. Very, very intense. |

I bought the Fog Chaser, had second thoughts than cancelled for French Roast than cancelled again for Fog Chaser. Thankfully Amazon makes that process easy and I cant believe I was still able to get in on a k-cup deal posted on slickdeals! |

Keurig's patent expired in September. I'm starting to see lots more less expensive options now and I think (finally) there's so downward pressure on pricing for K-cups. My local grocery store even has their own house brand now for $5/box of 12 = ~$0.42/cup. Not great but not too bad for an off-the-shelf price versus $9 - $10 for the GMCR brands.

Plus dark roasts have less caffeine than light roasts, which means I get to enjoy more of it in the mornings!

I've had both and think Fog Chaser is a tad less "harsh" than the French Roast. Bear in mind I enjoy both but if you're looking for the lesser "in your face" roast I'd suggest Fog Chaser.
