I've had the Logitech G5 since 2006, If this is anywhere near the quality of that then its a great mouse, I've used it religiously for nearly 7 years

The G500 is an awesome mouse, and this is just about the lowest you'll see it. Out of all of the mice I've owned, the G500 and the old MX518 feel and perform the best.

Great mouse while it works, but the plastic that contacts the click buttons wears out for some people and the clicking becomes much less responsive. Used mine for about a year before the problem surfaced; ended up having to take it apart and glue a piece of tin foil to the plastic under the shell so it makes contact with the button once again.
Do a google search for the issue and you'll see people complaining about it (happens most often when you try to hold a mouse button down). Logitech was even offering free repairs for people within certain time periods of purchase. Again, besides that, the mouse is awesome. |

The G5 set the standard for gaming mice. Its what every other mouse is compared to. I have a G700 because I wanted the wireless option, but the G5 is a fine choice if you don't care about that.

I make this same comment every time this mouse is listed on Slickdeals. It is quite simply THE BEST gaming mouse I have ever owned. Going on 2 years now, and it still performs amazing. Braided cable is awesome. Form is extremely comfortable. Definitely the best non-wireless mouse you could buy. I would honestly even suggest this mouse for non-gamers.
On second thought, I might actually pick another one up, just to MAKE SURE that if they ever discontinue it I have a backup in my drawer... Yea, that's sad, but so true. |

DONT buy this mouse. The wheel spins freely and you never know when the next step is, SOOOO annoying.

Great mouse. It is very sensitive in movment. I have had a couple issues over time. sometimes when scrolling, I get a backlash and if I'm scrolling up and stop, it scrolls back down on it's own. then same thing happens when I scroll down sometimes. Also I've had some issues with it not able to detect movment on some surfaces, like my light wooden desk without a mousepad. I will admit I'm not the most technical usere and haven't really set up all the buttons for gaming or anything, but these are the issues I've seen with it.
I will say despite all that, overall I'm extremely happy with this mouse. I've had it for about 3 years and really like it. |
