Amazon.com return question.

Why would amazon pay for a return if the customer simply changed their mind? That makes no sense.

You are not sure if it's a defect, that's why you would put I'm not happy with the item. In this case Amazon almost always offers a prepaid label as a courtesy.

I got a similar email right after that one telling me that I would get at six dollar credit for an item that I bought in November. Do you think these emails have any relation to my phone call? There were thing is my item portal for the speaker was about $13.50

Should I go ahead with my return? Or should I consider exchanging the speaker for a new one?

Your original concern was not wanting to have to pay a higher shipping cost by including the free items with your return ...did you contact Amazon about the order..what did they say?

I got a prepaid return shipping label. I mentioned that I didn't have an option to specify the reason they listed on that help page to get a prepaid return shipping label from the third-party seller. However, since Amazon provided me with one immediately, I am concerned that they will note my account as mentioned in a previous post. Even though the help page says I'm supposed to get one from the seller, since I got one immediately from Amazon, I feel this was a courtesy and it wasn't from the seller.

Amazon does this all the time.


I ordered a Bobble maybe a year or two ago for I think $8 shipped with prime. After about a week it made a nice big crack in the side. Amazon didn't even hesitate for one second, told me to destroy the one I had, and they overnighted me a brand new one.


They are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you're happy with what you bought, even if that means they lose money. Just don't abuse it. They'll flag your account for abuse if you do this too often.
