Monoprice MEP-933 Enhanced Bass 14.2mm Hi-Fi Noise Isolating Earphones (Silver) $4.50

I bought these last time and I think they are inferior to some Inkd sets that go on sale for $9. Skip and spend a few more bucks.

As much as I love monoprice... these headphones are unwearable. They're painful to have in my ears, and they fall out really easily. (Not sure if it's just me.)

I swapped out the tips with ones from my old sony headphones and they're a bit more wearable... but still pretty terrible.

On the other hand, they sound pretty damn good.

Just use the tip finder, select monoprice brand and then the headphones. It'll bring you to a list of 5 choices of tips.

I have these and just want to add my $0.02.

- They tangle like crazy! Seriously, if you don' t wrap them before putting them into your pocket, it will take a solid 30 s to get them untangled.\

- Sound is decent, but excellent for the price. Beats out some $30-$40 pairs of IEM's.

- Kind of uncomfortable to wear, the angles at each IEM (where the wire comes out) will do most of the tangling.

I use these mainly for the gym, so they work fine, but I'd probably invest in another pair with a lighter, more compact shell as these can be uncomfortable at times.

Edit: I wear these with Comply Tx-400 tips so I can't imagine how uncomfortable they'd be with the stock silicone tips.

these hurt my ears after 30-40min. at $5, definitely give it a try. Just wanted to share that from my experience, they're pretty uncomfortable. I'm used to the CX200/300's, have a pair of the M9P and a pair of jvc HAFX40's, and these monoprice ones are just unbearable compared to those. I've never had problems with earbuds and they've always stayed in, but they just hurt the roof of my ear because of how big the earpiece is. Sound quality wise, it's similar to the 200's, but with more bass.

I almost got these then; at this price it's a no-brainer...

Worth it if you need a spare to leave in your desk at work or something like that, but I would not use these as daily headphones. The bud is too big/heavy and falls out of your ears pretty easily. The cable is pretty nice (coated with nylon).

Edit: As others have mentioned, the noise on the cable is pretty bad, but doesn't bother me too much as I only use them at my desk.

They do NOT have a mic. that silver piece is just where it splits into a cable for each ear.

I already got 3 pairs direct from monoprice the last time they had them for 5/pair. Noticed they have black and white ones now, would be nice if they had those for sale just for the sake of color variety. IMO the silver ones hurt my eyes.

Awful Microphonic Cable. Meaning, every time you move the stock cable, you are going to get noise in your ears.

I got 2 pairs of these and gave 1 to a friend. I put some comply tips on these and I really like them except for the cord. They fit me perfectly but YMMV. I ordered another 2 pairs they will go great with the mp3 players Im giving as gifts

I had the same problem with these. They are easy to fall out of your ears (especially when running). I didn't think the sound was all that great and these by no means have "super base".

So far the best headphones that I bought recently were the JVC ones on sale a few weeks ago.

These are not recommended by me.

I'm going to give them a try. I lost my favorite in ear headphones - the Koss Plug. They come stock with the memory foam tips. I think I have some of the extra foam tips from those laying around, so hopefully they fit.
