MS Steady State

I have a situation where I think Microsoft Steady state would work well but I wanted to make sure before I tried it. I am looking to take an older computer in the office and use it for some basic internet things like (applicant personality tests etc) but I still want to be able to login as a different account to do other things. Is steady state a wizzard for creating these limited use profiles but with more protections? If I logged in as myself or another user on the domain things would be normal? (Non steady state)? Basically I want to steady state an account not the entire computer.
