$175, even ayear later (even with possible waiver) is a steep fee
Opening CC with a good CL is generally not detrimental to your credit rating However, if you open and close it in order to avoid recurring charges, it will hit your credit history, and $175 might be steep for some users

Denied, Called recon line, got one guy saying he cant do much but put the application through another review that could result in second hard pull.
I called again and the guy says on its not denied but will take 3-5 days for a decision. with Amex is there a real recon line? since every guy I talk to says its not an instant decision mechanism like chase does. |

I just got this card. Dec 20, 2012. And just completed the initial bonus for 25k. Anyone know how to convince them to let me qualify for the new promo instead? or am I SOL

Dumb question may be. This card does not have a limit, but you need to pay off the balance each month, right? I had this card long time ago but don't remember,
