In all seriousness, T-Mobile has horrible ping times over here (DC), and coverage. So unless they would charge >=$10 a month (unlimited everything), I wouldn't bite
I actually just switched to T-Mobile from AT&T a few weeks ago and am so happy with the switch. I actually get perfect phone reception at work now (I missed about 60% of all calls when I was with AT&T, and now I don't miss any calls), and the Internet is very fast.
I'm sure the connection and such depends a lot on location. I've also heard a few other members here stating that the connection isn't very good in DC.
I'm in the greater Los Angeles area, and have been with T-Mobile for 6-7 years. Reception isn't perfect EVERYWHERE (but the greater LA area is freakin' big, so nothing surprising there), but is pretty decent in most places I frequent. The money I've saved over my friends who use AT&T or Verizon probably ranges from high hundreds to over $1000.
