I just got a Sony HX9V off Amazon on Sunday.
A Canon was a contender but liked the other little things vs just a better snap shot taker. |

I'm not sure I am making much sense, but I think my point is that people who are paid to be great choose Canon and yes, Nikon. I don't see Sony as often... but I realize we are talking about two different strata. Last edited by jdramirez; 02-20-2013 at 07:59 PM.. For any who are interested, this is probably the only time you'll be able to get a non CPL 5D2 refurb, so not a bad price.
The 135L is an EXCEPTIONAL price, especially for the glass; tremendous for portraits. The 24-70 is OOS currently, and while the lens is amazing, for any working professionals out there - that bastard gets heavy. Maybe not for a quick jaunt, but after 9 hours at a wedding it gets old. |

All in all a great camera. Too bad its sitting on the shelf these days with my Lumia 920 having such an awesome camera

I just bought a Canon 6D with 24-105 L kit lens. I wonder if any experts here could give me some advice what other lens to get. I'm on the fence for 70-200 since it's only 95mm gain from 24-105. I already have a thrifty fifty and hoping to find a zoom lens for the 6 d.
Thanks!

70-200 f/4L 85 1.8 40 2.8 24-105L The 70-200 f/4L (didn't need f/2.8 or IS as I use it outdoors with high shutter speeds) is a great lens. It's a bit goofy with it's "heat resistant" off white and inside the casing zoom but gets pretty sharp images. 200mm is more than far enough for me. You could opt for the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L or the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS if you wanted more range or even add an extender. And there's always the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS (non-L) if you wanted to cheap it. But I wouldn't. Here's a 200 vs 300 range comparison to give you an idea of the zoom difference... http://static.photo.net/attachmen...501584.jpg http://imaging.nikon.com/lineup/l.../index.htm |
