Chicago - downtown area hotel

Just to clarify, do you mean $150 a night or $150 total for the two nights?

I'm a huge fan of the Kimpton Hotel chain and was able to find a promo code that brings some options to under $150 a night. If you're interested let me know and I can send you the promo code info.

I'd have to recommend Club Quarters on the Loop. I really enjoyed my time there every time I've went.

They have exercise equipment that you can rent and have brought to your room for free, you can borrow ipads during your stay for free, all of the free coffee/espresso/coke/diet coke/sprite etc that you can drink during your stay. It's also free to do your laundry etc there. It looks like for the dates you asked for, it's 116 a night.

Edited to add: You can definitely get the hotel for cheaper than this per night. I've never paid that high for it, and the last time it was only 69 per night. It's also just a couple of blocks away from State St/Union Station/etc.

Are you planning to go anywhere besides Downtown LA? I really don't recommend any hotels by skid row.

We got a recommendation off the site www.cheapchicagovacation.com for a deal on Chicago hotel. The lodging section had some interesting ideas. We liked the staying downtown option the best.

We ended up following thier Priceline advice, just for the section they recommended (7 I think) and sure enough got the Hyatt Regency, it's a huge hotel with 2 towers and it was easy to get to the metro - Lake was the stop we used and like every line hits that station including Red. It's right near the loop and super close to the Mag mile.

I don't remember the exact price but we locked in a 2 night stay for under 50% going rates on the Hyatt site.
