Resolved: SD Thread: Why was the Free iPhone Unlock thread removed?
I'd understand if it was moved to Deal Talk, but it was straight up deleted... ???

Yep, I got the unlock email too. Haven't been able to determine if it worked; working on that now.
Also, I agree: deleting this thread left a lot of us in the lurch. SD needs to consider how many people may have already taken advantage before they delete a thread. Add a huge red warning to the OP or the wiki if you're that concerned... |

I restored my iPhone 4S last night to get the 6.1.2 update before Apple releases one that can't be jailbroken. Was delighted to see a message at the end of the restore process in iTunes, "Congratulations! Your iPhone has been unlocked!" I signed the petition I think Tuesday evening, no email confirmation whatsoever. Today I received an email with instructions on doing the unlock
 In other words, this was NOT a scam. |
