I've already used promo codes on Newegg deals in the past and they paid out the full value. The "not combinable with any other offer" is more than likely referring to rebate offers.

Personally, I've never owned any ultra slim cables, so I guess I'll see if there's any true difference.

"One of the detrimental things that happens to a signal as it travels down a cable is that the corners of the square wave get rounded off. What the Redmere chip on the receiving end does is to attempt to square up the waveform so that it looks as much like the original as possible.
