I was waiting for something like this to build my HTPC.
I'm kind of curious on if they will have a well-priced bundle with the A8-5600k or the A8-3870k though. I would much rather prefer one of those (just in case my HTPC wants to go a slightly different route) Edit: It would be so much better if I lived in a city with microcenter... I've had this CPU running on an Asus board as a Windows Media Center HTPC 24/7 for about 15 months now and it's served that purpose great. I also made an attempt to run Crysis 2 and Diablo 3 through it's onboard graphics (just to see) and it failed miserably, no surprises there.

If you have access to a Microcenter, look at their deal on the A10-5800K (Trinity generation) for the same price.
The Trinity generation is better than llano is almost every way and socket FM2 has at least one more generation of processors while FM1 is already end of the road. |

Anything graphs intensive is not going to run well at 1080P on APUs currently. However, games like WoW or D3 can be played at lower setting on the A8-3850. |

Whats the best FM1 CPU you can get?
This isn't a bad deal but I think there isn't much in the way for upgrading the CPU. I think the A10 5800k is a FM2 |
