at first I was thinking, this guy is nutts... there is no way they are selling for $100+ for a 10rd mag.. but you are right... people are retarded :-) I hear our economy is bad, but people sure do come up with a lot of surplus money to spend on non-essential things like a 10rd mag for a 22 pistol at 3x+ retail.... Boggles my mind... but looks to be a good money maker!

Does anyone know if the M&P22 offers restrike (having the hammer fall twice on the same cartridge)? I know the standard M&P (9/40/45) does not offer restrike, and considering the M&P22 states that it's trigger pull is single action, I'm doubtful. Still, I'm just curious.

$32 is MSRP. I have 3 magazines for my MP22 and I had a hard enough time justifying the total cost of $58 to get those 2 extra mags shipped to me. Here, it's almost $50 for just 1 or $84 for 2 (they get you on shipping, handling, and maybe tax depending on where you are). The people paying $100 dollars for just one of these are either idiots, have more money than sense, or are desperate (for whatever reasons, it's their only/main gun so they need the extra mags).
For a plinking gun, the 1 magazine the gun ships with is all you really need as magazine changes isn't critical in a plinking situation. You shoot 10/12 rounds, reload the mag, shoot again. Reloading the mag takes very little time and lets the gun/barrel rests. It was how I was doing it before the 2 extra mags came in (I'd ordered it with the gun but took some time to come in even though it was in stock when I made the order). Now that I've got the 2 extra mags, it makes very little difference, I'm still spending the same amount of time reloading all the mags with a longer rest period between shoot sessions, makes no difference at the end of the day. |

Andy yes, people are nutz now. My local gunshop actually had M&P15-22's in stock! I had 4 on backorder from S&W direct, but still no luck... they are selling on S&W for about $21 each. My local shop sold them for $28 each. I picked up 8. Sold half on ebay and kept the other half myself... giving me 4 free... challenging to keep the ebay post active though as the cancel them quickly since they classify this as an assault rife believe it or not. Yes a .22. Still ton's of postings make it for this and even regular .223 magazines... Big vote today NJ Assembly on Gun Law bills... this suxs!!! So does this state! Wish us luck. How about GrabAGun? They any better about shipping? I feel a little better that their inventory is real considering they already removed their page. edit: looks like cheaperthandirt also pulled the page. Fingers crossed! |
