"If an American is to amount to anything he must rely upon himself, and not upon the State; he must take pride in his own work, instead of sitting idle to envy the luck of others. He must face life with resolute courage, win victory if he can, and accept defeat if he must, without seeking to place on his fellow man a responsibility which is not theirs.” --- Theodore Roosevelt

BTW: I do not think these suggestions are moronic. I won't say I know they are effective but if I had to guess I would say they are indeed effective. Of course gun issues are always political but I do not see why this should be a liberal vs conservative issue. |

1. To limit or even remove gun ownership from our society because they genuinely believe it would reduce crime, or 2. They have the agenda of first UBGC, then registration, followed by confiscation, so they can institute a dictatorship gov system in the US? I would like to hear the opinion of other posters re the above. |

Here's another technique. Not sure if it ever worked.
anti-rape condom: http://www.snopes.com/photos/crime/rapex.asp anti-rape tampon: http://rense.com/general19/rape.htm Victims of booby traps have been known to win court cases, so buyer beware. We've all heard the story or two of a home intruder that broke into a home and slipped on something and then sued the home owner. |

A rapist will always assume a victim is carrying firearms. Therefore, the rapist will make sure to catch the victim off-guard so that the victim would not have the opportunity to use the firearm on the rapist.
The advice about vomiting, menstruation, etc. is good advice since a rapist would not be able to anticipate these unexpected "issues". Kharvel's First Law: Greed is Good™

I'd love to see where you get that silly idea about the weapon being taken from. For the other side of the argument, quoting from https://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/n...211201.pdf (SP stands for "Self Protection"):
