Due to the nature of this product, it is being shipped from central location to the local Best Buy store of your choosing. Please allow up to 7 days for the product to arrive in store. You will receive an email when the product is available for pick up in the store. Note: we do expect most of the product to arrive in store well before 7 days, possibly as little as 2 days depending on the store chosen.

Hey Californians! They're charging too much for the recycling fee! It should be $3 not $6. You can't get a refund until after you pick up the item. Don't bother calling for a refund until after you pick up the item.

UPDATE ON PURCHASE (3/6/13) -

For anyone who has purchased this Geek Squad Certified Refurbished Amazon Kindle, in my case, my microUSB port was broken. I had to wiggle the cable in order for the tablet to charge. I took to the Best Buy store and the Geek Squad rep, who really is just a Walmart employee upgraded from the Electronics department, diagnosed that it is broken. He was going to swap it out with a new one, but saw the price difference. Talked with his manager and it got shot down. Then he realized it was a refurbished item and thought the tablet had a disease. He said "Oh, no, we don't have refurbished items in the store.....only new items." I said "On the site when I purchased it, it said there was a 14-day return policy along with a 90 day warranty. What are you guys going to do to repair/replace this?" He had no clue, had the deer in the headlights look, and told me he won't be able to do anything, but he will get on his employee bridge tomorrow to let me know what can be done. He called me today and told me to call BestBuy.com 800 number to see if they can do anything since it's a refurb or you can call Amazon to see if they can do anything. I spoke with 3 different reps on BestBuy.com. 1st 2 were rude and didn't want to do anything about this. There was no customer satisfaction involved in helping me out. They either wanted to -

a) Send to the store a box with a label for me to ship the broken one back, they will process it, and once it's back in their system, then they will ship another to the store for me to pick up.
b) Send to the store a box with a label for me to ship the broken one back, get a refund for it, then purchase the Kindle Fire non-refurb for $100 right on the phone to get a case ID number so when I call back, I will get a discount to match what I paid for the refurb.

So these 2 idiots didn't want to exchange it out for me or understand my frustration and replace it out with a non-refurb one. Finally the 3rd rep I spoke with it understood what the hell I've gone through and said the best thing to do is refund it since it's not available online to ship to me and none of the stores near me doesn't have it. So I just went for the refund, but I also told them I will try Amazon and see if they can help me out.

So for you guys who bought this and it's broken, this above story is what you will go through. Good luck and remember - never ever ever ever buy Geek Squad Certified Refurb because you will get screwed.
