In store pickup only? Are these old used units that otherwise would have been sold by Cowboom (a Best Buy store)? I'd hate to buy one of these and the battery life is shit because someone used it for a year then traded it in. I wonder how many they'll have per store?

Not a lurker, just lurking this thread. I have owned a Nexus 7 (that I LOVE) for about a month but for $70 this is practically a throw away toy. I think I could get $100 easy on CL after a few months. Just want to root, OC, and put JB 4.2 on it

Excellent price. Has anyone tried porting Android 4.x.x onto fire?

Have got one in the previous Android sale, but the OS is buggy.

I see folks here have most of the follow up, so I'll just recap a few things.

1. In-store pick up only. The tablets are being sent on-demand from a central warehouse to the store you choose. BB is stating a max of 7 days, but more likely 2-3.

2. These tablets are to the best of our knowledge, store and online returns that have then been completely refurbished and carry a 90 day warranty. I believe that Cowboom offers items that are in used condition and might have scratches, parts missing, etc.

3. I don't have the overall quantity available, but expect there to be adequate supplies available. Since the units are being distributed centrally on-demand, there is no "per store" quantity or limit.

4. Best Buy Gifts Cards cannot be used for purchase. Credit card or PayPal only.

Hope this helps. And yes, the extra $5 off from last weeks attempt makes this a pretty nice deal.
