I have original fire since they went on sale more than a year ago, rooted android 4.1 and happy with it, kids love it, so for 70$ I think I should get few more for my other kids as well.
xda has all kinds of roms for original fire available.

So stupid that best buy gift cards do not work. I understand it is through CNET, but if its going through best buy, man up and allow your customers to use their damn credit. And to the people asking "can i use bb gift cards?" look at the words in big letters saying "best buy gift cards are not accepted".. reasons like this is what makes me understand why i cant stand best buy. I bet if i call best buy about my order to try to apply it that way, they will come up with some bullshit about why the gift card can't be applied to my order. sigh..

Found this about pu time: Your order will be held at the pickup store for 8 days. To ensure your security, if you do not pick up your order within this timeframe, we'll cancel the order and issue a refund to your original form of payment. Don't know about bb mobile.

Pick up a used or refurb nook tablet. If you want to read books, the screen is better than the kindle fire for reading text, has sd slot (huge plus), microphone. Picked up a 16GB model for $80 and it's running JB 4.22 right now. Not a nexus 7, but very nice.

Wondering if after you pick it up if you can ask them to "re-ring" it sorta do a return and rebuy sorta thing. I know I've done this with other companies I have bought items online that have a B&M store. May be worth the try. You have a receipt then with the price on it. Just a thought.
