Huh. I've actually bought quite a few of these over the years. What's wrong with them?
Beware of Chegg.com. Steals books and never pays.

The main benefit of fluoride containing mouthrinses like ACT are that they help strengthen enamel and can help to remineralize softspots (think very early tooth decay). From the OP, it sounds like the action in question is to reduce bacterial load in the mouth -- which it may or may not do, I haven't heard. But it remains that the main point of ACT again is the fluoride, not anti-microbial activity.

It's real - the advertising made it seem like the product had some new and improved plaque fighter in it. Man did I ever feel like an idiot sending my husband out to buy this with a coupon. he bought two of them on sale - the large ones. I read the ingredient list and went "hey waaiiiit a fargin minute here...." and realized it was the same old mouthwash. We used it but we paid more for it than we should have.
Let that be a lesson to us ALL about toothpastes and mouthwashes: there really is nothing new under the sun. READ the label and go by the flouride content you need if any. If you want other things like whitening, bone up on what works best. If you want less of a dry mouth, skip the ones with alcohol in the base and go for ones sweetened with Xylitol if you can consume it (some people have reactions to it) cuz you will absorb some of it. Xylitol helps keep your mouth moister and it does help prevent cavities for complex and highly studied reasons. BTW, those of you saying Hey free money! You are signing on penalty of PERJURY that you bought this. So, it's a real live act of breaking the law if you LIE. Will they catch you? Prolly not but you'll get to live with the guilt and know that you may have screwed over an actually harmed consumer since if the settlement claims exceed the actual number they believe to have been sold, everybody gets less. .
