I used these for a few years before upgrading, the surrounds are really big sounding speakers for the packaging! If you look closely most sat systems even from Polk use 2.5" midranges, but these ones use 3.5" drivers that fill small-mid sized rooms with good sound. Center channel could use more bass but voices sound very loud and clear. The sub however was junk in my opinion and made awful wobbling noises, I strongly recommend getting the Monoprice 12" for 100 bucks in addition to this.

I got a question or 3 if anyone knows the answer too.
1. Can you turn the bass completely off? Anyone know, On some of these systems the bass cant be turned completely off. 2. Whats a good receiver to run with this currently on the market. I'm not audio savvy at all  3. Will I need anything else to run this from a Tv to Reciever to speakers? 4. Do I even need a receiver? Panny 55inch LED 3D Smart TV TIA!!!
