Starbucks Buy a Pound of Coffee and get 10 dollar credit towards next purchase This is a USA NATIONAL and Canada deal

OK, so it turns out the 5 dollars additional is for NEW accounts, BUT I called and explained that the explanation from the store was murky and did not explain it this way and they added the 5 dollars.
Seems the card they gave me was previously used but not registered and when I did register it there was $3.66 already on there, so my total after a 3-4 minute call was $13.66
Emailed my friends who clued me into the deal and they called Starbucks and were also given the 5 dollar credit on their existing accounts because the store didn't explain this deal properly.
For those that need to call to get the 5 dollars added or to an existing card, call and tell them the people in the store where not clear that the additional 5 dollars was for new accounts and they should add it to your card.

Three Friends have emailed me about this and they did this at three different Starbucks in Downtown Boston and the suburbs.
SOOOO I haven't had a chance to try it myself and will tomorrow, from a friends email:
"Starbucks fans: this is too sweet of a deal to pass up
~ Purchase a 1lb bag of whole bean coffee, receive a $5 Gift Card.
~ Then register the Gift Card on line & get an additional $5 loaded onto that card !!
~ A total of + $10 against your next purchase."
PURCHASES MADE ONLY FROM FEB 21ST THROUGH FEB 24TH and then register the cards from FEB 28th -March 14th to get ADDITIONAL $5 Dollars
