Thanks OP, I'm in for one. Added this to my notification list a couple weeks ago. I'm hoping for the best even though I feel like there's about one poor review for every two or three good reviews. More so with the older reviews.

I have these I bought about a 14 months ago @ $99. Worked great but recently the micro USB port has been shorting out and not taking a charge. I have to jimmy the cable until it charges in the "perfect" position. Really annoying if I'm expecting it to charge overnight only to have it die in the middle of a round.

Even when it's working the connection does drop fairly regularly. I sit right next to the USB dongle so it's not a distance thing. Very annoying. Sometimes the audio would drop completely and I'd have to quit the program and restart.

I can't recommend this for the price their charging and issues experienced. It seems like a question of "when" not "if" you'll run into significant issues with this set. Google issues or "g930 broken" and read all of the issues reported.

How much of an upgrade is this over the Logitech F540 wireless headsets that were recently available at Frys for $50? Wondering if the extra $35 for this is worth it.

I love the set, I've had mine since dec and I play dota 2 quite a lot using them. Perfectly comfortable for extended periods of time and just a joy to use. The only problem is the battery dying in the middle of a match and having to plug them in, then again, if they were wired then they'd always need to be plugged.

I've had these for a couple years and use daily. I've been mostly happy with them. Haven't had the channel dying out problem. Mine however have a finicky power button on them that likes to not power them on especially when the charge cord is hooked up. They aren't the most comfortable either but I wear them for 3+hours at a time. My transmitter as 3 feet away from my router and I get no interference. Only interference I get is when I wear them into the kitchen to heat up a hot pocket in the micro.

I likely will go looking for a different set if they ever go bad. I will be sad to lose wireless though.

I have been using these for a few years and love them. No problem with interference or other issues listed here. I walk around my house with these on, doing laundry or listening to podcasts/music without issue. Occasionally the signal drops when I'm 4 rooms away or outside, but overall these are great. Comfy.

i wish i could post sooner, but i'd stay away from these... i had them for a month before they started acting really really weird. i've never had a logitech product go bad on me, but i guess all those reviews warning me of the wireless becoming crappy over the course of a few months were true...

Dude the device has a 3 year warranty! I would contact Logitech right away. I had a issue with a battery and they replaced my battery no questions asked and even mailed it to me via 2 day express shipping! Logitech's the best company for warranties usually!

I like this set for the price point here, however I purchased about 6 mo ago at $99 and couldn't recommend at that price. In my experience the the life of the charge is nowhere near advertised, anytime I go for an extended play session of over 3 hrs they die, then I have to plug in and they're no longer wireless. Also, as mentioned above they will randomly lose the connection and go silent, which is a real PITA in the middle of a round and you have to hit the power button again (and they seem to require you to hold down the power button for random amounts of time in order to switch on, sometimes it's just a tap, others I have to hold it for up to 5 seconds). Other than those complaints, the set sounds great, no issues with the mic, and its probably the most comfortable set I've ever owned.

I have owned a lot of "mid tier" (~$100) usb headsets, and sadly the mic audio quality is not crystal clear, I would give it a 6 out of 10. The comfort is decent, and these do a pretty good job of blocking extraneous sound. The audio (output) quality is excellent, and the built in buttons/mute (with indicator lite), plus the swivel-boom are excellent. I would love these for the price if the mic quality was as good as my Steelseries 5H-v2.
