I bought these when they were about $70 during BF and I can say that so far I'm quite please with how these headphones have held up. I haven't used the mic yet as I tend to be a silent gamer but the sound quality is quite impressive. Playing FPS games, gun shots sound amazing and with the 7.1 channel, determining the directionality of the gun fire helps more than you know. I love the fact that with the wireless function I can get up and go use the restroom or walk to fridge and still be connected to either the game or listening to music without worrying about being in range with the receiver. Since I find myself using this headset for everything more than my Logitech speakers, the 10 hour battery life seems a bit paltry as I get the low battery indicator going off at least once a day.

A couple of concerns would be the swivel points for the ear cups are plastic and seem a bit cheap and I've read that they are a bit fragile so when they are not in use I hang them up on a headphone stand. Another thing is that it requires a little more force than I would have liked to remove the micro usb cord from the charging port. This concerns me as it could cause a short or could damage the pins somewhere down the line.

At the $70-$80 range, I say these are a good investment, especially for the wireless benefit but there are probably several better options for gaming cans if you want to stay corded.

Anyone know a good deal on a headphone holder? Have audiophile headphones and this for gaming now, my g35 broke twice b/c i dont' put them away properly, a nice stand would do me wonders.

I own a pair of these as well as a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 pro. Although I love that it's wireless I grab my Sennheiser more for music and movies because of the better sound it produces but the G930 is used during gaming because of the mic. The battery lasts for around 6-7 hours from my experience so if you use it a lot during the day you will need almost daily charging.

Great deal! Might pick me up an extra one. Sounds real good with 7.1surround have not had any real problems other than drivers were iffy but I think that been taken care of. I've had this for 3 yrs now and quality is good too.

as everyone else has stated. they're heavy and kind of tight. extended use is bleh. if they were as light as the creative fatal1ty's they would be awesome. Then again thats the trade off for wireless.

Just in case anyone still contemplating, here's my two cents.

I was on the fence about buying these last summer for about two weeks, trying to weight the pros and cons of wireless, but I can certainly say that my purchase was worth it.

The wireless range on these is great when un-disturbed, but goes downhill fast when through a wall or floor.

I have run into issues with the sound cutting out for a couple seconds, maybe two or three times a day, but with the sheer number of wireless devices around me, it's to be expected. And 10 seconds total out of a 16 hour day is hardly an issue.

The rumors of headaches are true (coming from someone who is very prone to them) but it seems the severity differs between people. I only end up with a headache after super-extended gaming sessions (13+ hours).

In terms of size I'd say they are just above average. I wear large hat sizes and it fits snugly. Just enough to keep from sliding off when I lean over to grab something off the floor, but not enough to do the same while bouncing to some music. The ear cups themselves are huge, which is a plus for anyone who wears glasses, as you can keep pressure off of the ear pieces.

Sound quality is average. The virtual 7.1 is enjoyable for gaming in most situations. Not as noticeable in fast-paced action as my 5.1 home theater system but gets the job done when you can't have a bunch of speakers all around you. When my focus moves to music for longer than half an hour, I go back to my ATH-M50s but I still main the g930s in every other situation.

Can't really speak in terms of the mic other than when I ask friends on Vent, they tell me that I don't have any background noise. When not using push to talk, the auto-mute feature (push the mic up next to your head rather than in front of your mouth) is really useful, though I have had it malfunction before (such as stay muted even after pulling it down) but only a handful of times since purchase.

The charge seems to last forever. When the driver utility pops up saying I've got less than an hour remaining I can usually ignore it for a while as they will still last another two or three hours. If I let it charge overnight I can usually go through one extended gaming session without charging, or two to three days of casual weekday use. Though I can't say the battery is anywhere near my DR-BT50s, but bluetooth is only useful for certain situations, so I don't even bother connecting those to my PC.



Wellp, that's it for me. I tried to be objective and list both the pros and cons of the different aspects of the headset but who knows, I may have just spewed opinion the entire time (Its nearly 4am and I'm tired). Hope this helps someone make a decision one way or the other.

to anyone having charge issues, mine have lasted many days with 3-4 hours daily, I would see about your warranty because I was surprised how long the charge holds without plugging in.

after a while, like people said, they start to bug you but are pretty awesome if you dont go longer than 3-4 hours.

Bought these about a month ago for $115 and love them! Mic works fantastically, and the 7.1 sound is great. Plus, Amazon just gave me a price match and refunded me the $30 difference! Woohooo! Thank you!

Note: I also have a fat head. 7 3/4 with fitted hats. These fit comfortably.
