Anyone have their shipment delayed?

I chatted online with Staples support - they said the delay was because more billing information was needed and I was directed to call their support line.

I called their support line and the rep said there were no issues with my order and it should be delivered March 1st.

Online still shows a delay.

Yeah, the rep that I chatted with told me I couldn't call their support line, that they'd call me. I'm in Korea, they can't call me. Anyway, I suspect we might have gotten in on the tail end and they are having a hard time finding stock OR the coupons, as is, weren't supposed to be able to be used in conjunction with other offers.

Have not received email shipped notice, but Staples Website shows it has shipped from PA warehouse, w/UPS # and scheduled for 28Feb delivery

Finally received a call from Staples. They wanted to verify that I was the one that placed the order by providing my shipping address ?? Is this normal for staples?

Then she said my order wouldn't arrive until Monday and I said that was fine. She kept telling me that I had the option to cancel... almost seemed like she wanted me to cancel. lol

I received mine today... the box was in pieces. Hopefully the computer is in good shape. I have to wait for my wife to ship it to Korea first.

i got mine delivered today,the sound quality from the speakers is atrocious, so tinny, anybody else having this issue? tempted to return it, not to mention that it cant play a 4 minute youtube video without stalling a time or two, first couple hours, sad to say i'm not impressed.can i return a Staples online purchase to a store? and if so within how many days?

Very true. Just got mine this evening. Flimsy feel to it. It comes sealed with a disclaimer from Toshiba. It contacts toshiba on first use and periododically after that. It says it collects no identifying data. By breaking the seal you agree to this. Otherwise you are instructed not to break the seal and return it!

Well laptop sound is never very good, but I agree this Toshiba Satellite C855-S5350 has the absolute worst I have heard from a portable device.

It does sound great through headphones, so that is the best solution I have found.

A search finds this thread [toshiba.com]in the Toshiba Forums which suggests some additional updates.

My C855-S5350 had the latest driver, but not the other enhancements, which provide an equalizer and loudness selection among other capabilities; sadly they don't improve the sound by much.

Can't believe Staples delivers in the original box w Toshiba and Intel in big letters sitting on your porch; at least UPS was kind and the box was in good condition; and the machine works and looks great.

Sure hard to beat the value even with the sound

I'm even getting use to Windows 8 .... just get to the familiar desktop and you'll be happy.
