Thread Details

Just snagged a new Pur Faucet Water Filtration System + 4 filters, which equal a year of clean water, for 29.99 at Costco B&M. Normal price is 39.99, but there's an instant rebate of $10 right now.

Normally, you'd pay around $28 dollars for the mineral clear faucet mount and just the one filter, so I thought this was a screaming deal.

Here's an amazon comparison

Amazon, Baybee [amazon.com]

I used to mess with faucet filters but decided to try a 3M undersink filter a few years back and I won't ever go back. It took about 10 minutes to install and filters are supposed to be replaced every 6 months @ $20 each.

pur quality has sucked the last few years. They always spring a leak or just don't stay screwed on right.

I had leaking with the plastic fitting on the mineral clear system. I called customer service and they sent out a metal fitting to replace it. Worked great with no more leaking. Thanks op.

The price now says $49.99 minus $10 would be $39.99.

Sounds great. Could you provide some further info, such as model # , how much the system cost, and where to buy it. Thanks a lot.

Durrr its $30, Amazon, 3M Filtrete Undersink Filter.

There are other brands available from B&M home improvement stores for around the same price but I went with 3M because replacement filters are available at Wal Mart as well.

Where do you see that? Was there today. Should still be $29.99 until tomorrow or the 28th (I forget what the sign said) Looked like my store was putting back returned units of these. Of the few there, all were unsealed, and some were actually missing filters.

edit: nevermind, you must be referring to the amazon link. It's only $30 instore at costco.

It connects only to the cold side of your faucet lines so no, not really for washing unless you're washing with just cold water.
