Does this truly require PCIe 3.0 Slot to work?
Ditto with the ZeroCore (Power savings) technology -- does it require PCIe 3.0 slot to work? Thinking of buying this to make my HTPC into a potent gaming rig. Current HTPC specs: 95W Phenom II X840 (3.2Ghz max) 8GB DDR3, AMD 880 Board, On Board Radeon HD 4250 Graphics Board has PCIe 2.0 16x Slot. (Very decent as HTPC - but can't even do mid-range gaming...) PS is 500W. |

How do these things work, do you get a card with the game codes packaged with the GPU or is it emailed?
Been looking to get a Radeon 7800 for a while, the games codes are pushing me over

A word of warning this card tends to run very hot. You will need a case with good airflow and possible a PCI cooler of some sort. Performance wise it is great though.

Newegg raised the price. But as a previous poster noted, 4GB of memory is now being included. IMO the memory isn't that great - it's two 2GB sticks at 1.65 Volts. Could you sell the memory? I suppose that's possible. But personally, I'd wait/look for a different deal if you're in the market for a card and certainly if you're wanting a card AND memory.
