Sort of want.
Would you guys recommend getting a AM3+ mobo for future upgrade or just stick with a regular AM3 mobo? |

If you've got access to a Micro Center they've got the X6 1045T for $79.99. [microcenter.com]
It's 0.1GHz slower, but also 95W instead of 125W TDP. In store only, naturally. Can't believe I'm the guy making the "micro center has x for $y" post.

Edit: Maybe I am wrong, is the speed of this processor 2 ghz? I see now it saying bus speed 2000, what is the chip speed? 2ghz? Last edited by uslam; 02-23-2013 at 02:38 PM.. Definitely get an AM3+ board. The upgrade to Vishera is worth the money once it's in your budget.

I am still using this chip that I got for $125 AR on release day from TD in 2010. Still solid.

I've OC'd mine to 3.5 on air with a 120mm dual fan all copper Zalman CPU cooler though. |
