Capital One put my SSN on my debit card - what should they do for me?
I am on the bank account for my sons' Cub Scout pack. We just went through the process to get me on the account as a signer, and one of the things they did was order a debit card for me to use. It arrived, but instead of my name being embossed on the card they listed my SSN.
My concern: The name on the card (our charter organization and my SSN) were used in the address on the envelope when it was mailed to me. Any number of people held that envelope and could have snapped a photo of it and may already be going to town on my credit report.
When I went to the bank to speak to the VP he acted like this has never happened before. I asked about identity monitoring and he said they don't currently have any method of doing that for non account-holders. He suggested that I open a credit card account with them and they could monitor it that way.
Thoughts? Should I go further up the chain? Put a freeze on my credit and ask them to reimburse me for the $32.50 that it'll cost to freeze it at all 3 bureaus? Demand that they pay for LifeLock for several years?
I have worked hard to keep my credit history pristine. I am not about to let their administrative screw up mess with my credit. If I'm being unreasonable, please let me know. I'm truly interested in hearing what others think.

I'll wait and run it again in 60 days. Thanks!

Because it would be any other string of 9 numbers?
