How is TigerDirect with rebates these days? They used to deny them just about every darn time. I've avoided TD due to that issue for the past 5+ years.
Black Friday: Because only in America, people trample others for sales exactly one day after being thankful for what they already have.

I'm getting tired of saying this but first & foremost reliability is what matters most (to me). These are the benchmark & gold standard for that. The MLC NAND 34nm size is superior to MOST current SSDs. The Intel controller is also superior. It's too bad that Intel has moved away from this in later versions. On paper, yes, it looks like this would be a turtle compared to the speeds of current SSDs but thankfully we don't live on paper and in the real world the the difference is small for most users it isn't an issue. It reminds me of when SATA first came out & people were claiming how much faster it was than PATA (without the real world evidence that showed at the time they were equivalent in the real world) simply because SATA, theoretically on paper, could transfer data at a much higher speed at the time didn't make the platter density increased in order to produce real increases in speed. You start off by filling out the online form - You print it & they send you an email not only to confirm (hey you started the process but also so if you need to you can easily reprint the submission form). The submission forms are usually crystal clear although people don't always read & follow them carefully. They say whether they need the UPC, a copy or if it's not they they don't require it. The part that trips up most people is they call for the invoice. Which unlike most people are used to from Newegg, the Invoice is the (receipt document posted online once the item is shipped) you simply go to the account & click to print the document (make sure it says Invoice) they will prompt you if you are trying to print a simple receipt saying this is not acceptable for mail in rebates etc. Make sure to scan in to your computer (or photo copy) all submitted / completed documents and sign/date the submission form. Anyway, then it's your choice whether to pay for a signature or insurance for the post office, but when it reaches 4myrebate, they scan in all the documents in and send you an email. You can see what they scanned in. So compared to the mail & pray rebates this one has at least some paperwork generating documentation. If you mail it in early, you can catch any mistake or undelivered mail problem before the PM date is up. |
