Can anyone tell me more about eligibility for the 'new wearer' discount? What qualifies and how do they check? have never claimed a rebate before for my contacts, though i placed an order from a different company for accuvues once. thanks!

I believe the 25SHOPPER only works with when using MSN.com (maybe Bing.com also) and using their link to VisionDirect.com. Using the link from here or any other site (like cash back sites) will not work with the coupon.

Anyone know how to REMOVE a coupon from your order? I used ACUVUE15 and it seems to be forever linked to my account. I tried everything: remove all items, clear my cookies, logout from their web page, etc. I asked customer service but they seem clueless, they keep sending me the link to logout. The coupon was supposed to expire many months ago, but it just won't die...

im curious, i have been using oasys for astigmatism, but its pretty expensive....

will regular oasys contact lenses work like this one for me?

i feel like its just a marketing ploy for people who have astigmatism.
Since my astigmatism was slight, my optometrist recommended trying the regular Oasys to save me money. For that 1-2 week trial, everything was a little blurry. When I tried the ones for astigmatism, everything was crystal clear.

The cheapest I found Oasys for Astigmatism was $25 from webeyecare.com [webeyecare.com]. I printed out the page, brought it to America's Best, and they pricematched it.

I have an astigmatism but do not like the lenses. My vision was razor sharp but I could feel them on my eye since they are thicker and stiffer. It was like I could feel my eyelid hitting them when I blinked. Drove me nuts so I suffer without.

Switching off of oasis now for a night and day contact but still going to be using vision direct.

Hey you know whats interesting, is that apparently I had astigmatism but not anymore. I had the contacts specifically for them and then the next time I went to the same doctor she said it went away. So I ended up switching over to regular contacts like the acuvue oasys. Weird right? So I guess maybe it can also be temporary as well..you never know. I think that time span from changing was maybe a year?

Why would anyone get 1 year supply online when you have to go see your optometrist anyway? I get a 1 year supply from my doc.

Frustrating. It's a drugstore.com property, so I thought I would make life easier and sign in with my credentials from there, which works, but then, the new customer coupon code doesn't work, even though I've never ordered from the Vision Direct site, just the drugstore.com site. So I tried the 25SHOP coupon code, and I get the targeted account error message. Ugh. Time to try a new account. I hate this nonsense.

Moral: Create a new account.

UPDATE: Created new account with new email address. Used new customer promo code.

Total for 8 boxes (4 R and 4 L) was $140.68. ($1.99 Processing Fee - You gotta love that.)
Went through Mr. Rebates for 7% = -$9.70 in cash back (I used my HSA Visa, so ShopDiscover was a no-go)
Less $25 existing user MIR = $105.98

This compares to $193 I paid via Sam's Club/1-800-Contacts last year. Thank you, OP.

Because some people don't want to pay the price the optomitrist charges. I Know for the night and day lenses I will be getting price is half on vision direct.

Then you say, we'll I don't pay anything, my insurance does. Not everyone has vision insurance ( I didn't until recently) or insurance will cover either glasses or contacts. My glasses are 5 years out of date since I didn't have vision insurance and recently hard to wear them because of a bad eye infection. So I will be using my insurance to pay for glasses and pay for contacts out of pocket. At that point, you find the best deal possible. Do I want to pay double, no...

I've been checking prices from visiondirect and lensmart and these prices have been the same for about 2 months. I need an eye exam since I last got on sept 2010. I just ordered a lot of contacts to last me awhile.

As far as dailies (1-a-day) goes, does anyone know if acuvue only has the 1-day Moist line? I'm assuming this deal is for the bi-weekly lens? The site shows 6 per box.. I prefer daily disposables and just wonder if they had this line as an option.. but doesn't look like it does.

Second, does anyone have experience of the Moist line versus the Oasys? What were your opinion about the two lines? TIA

edit: think i found my own answers, theres only 3-4 lines of dailies: trueye, moist, moist for astigma, and regular acuvue.
