Wow the store doesn't even open until 11am here. They better price match/adjust the keurig office pro I bought last week with $20 off coupon. The nearest staples is 1.5hrs away. Not worth the drive for a $25 rebate to me.

Yea Office Depot has the be the most useless of the Brick and Mortor stores ever (and that takes quite some doing). They never have competitive prices let a lone a deal. They are buying out Office Max..which means they are both going to go bankrupt.

You can say the same about Walmart, Kmart, Burger King, McD's, etc. Big companies coming in and undercutting the price of the little guys. This is nothing new and part of competing. What was Blockbuster to do, sit around and charge higher prices to help out their competition? Bottom line is competition is good. It usually yields a better product and better service at a cheaper price to the consumer. Yes if one ends up becoming a monopoly it is a bad thing, but no one is missing those video stores anymore. Blockbuster went bust by and large due to competition as well in a changing market and all those small video stores would have equally gone belly up as none could compete with Netflix.

B&M is non-competitive as it is by and large as this site will largely exemplify. Buying stuff online is not only usually cheaper, it is delivered to your door (no driving to a store\mall, no gas consumed, no crowds, no time wasted, etc). Even the Brick and mortar stores have tried to stay relevant by becoming brick and click (as the saying goes).
